O'Riley podejmie sie scoverowania nieistniejącej jeszcze LP7 Shocked

NEW YORK (AP) -- As new Radiohead material surfaces from the band’s recent European tour, so does new material from perennial Radiohead covers professional Chris O’Reilly, according to a recent press release.

O’Reilly, who recently released an Elliott Smith covers album to zero acclaim, will be covering the newest Radiohead material on a new LP entitled “This is my Videotape”.

“This new LP will capitalize on the increased demand for new Radiohead,” said O’Reilly from his Hollywood penthouse. “However, as opposed to my previous two Radiohead cover albums, I will not be altering the songs in any creative way. It seems fans just want to hear the new songs instead of my boring interpretation of them.”

The LP, according to many industry experts, will be the first of its kind. Releases that cover other artists are typically done years after the said artist releases their material to great acclaim. O’Reilly believes he is revolutionizing the way cover albums are done.

“Instead of waiting for Radiohead to release this new material on their finished album, I will release the covers of the songs before they are even recorded. This will ensure me my best selling album to date, as many casual fans will get a chance to hear these songs without hearing their original versions,” O’Reilly said.

Some of the more dedicated Radiohead fans question whether Mr. O’Reilly is truly trying to revolutionize the cover album industry or is just doing it
to make a quick buck.

“I recall Mr. O’Reilly saying on an online fan message board that the new songs were proof that the band had finally lost it,” said uber-fan Robert Sneezum. “However, once he saw the massive positive fan response to these new songs, he decided to change his tune and jump right back on the bandwagon. It’s fine that he has his own opinions on music, but when you’re making millions off the band like he is, well, I believe he owes the band a little more respect. And damn, the dude needs to stop stealing my grandpa’s haircut.”

The LP is due out the first week of July, coincidentally a week before Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke releases his solo album “The Eraser”. O’Reilly, who will be releasing the album on his new label BDR (Bald Douchebag Recordings), responded to the criticism by making it clear he is not capitalizing on the band.

“I have not made a single dollar off of Radiohead,” O’Reilly stated between puffs of his Cuban cigar. “Fans may believe I abandoned the band as soon as piss-poor, god awful quality versions of the newest songs leaked on the internet, but that is simply false. I have always and will always be the band’s biggest supporter. Everything they’ve done is golden, especially that new one, what’s it called again? Oh right, Arpeggi.”
